LEE TAYLOR

I live in a small town in England, not too far from where the legendary William Shakespeare was born, but alas, I don’t write stories like him, unless he was into sick horror like me….hahaha.      I grew up watching the old school 70’s/80’s horror before the big ban arrived in the UK, and I remember watching – The living dead at Manchester Morgue – when I was about 11 year old. That zombie movie totally freaked me out and I couldn’t move from my seat for quite a while afterwards.
In 1993, I did a practice story while at college. It was a horror story based on killer rats. I never finished it, but I still have it lying around, so maybe one day I will re-write it. That was the only time I tried the writing thing as other commitments got in the way, but in 1999 I bought my first computer and my first novel came to life.
M.D. – Morgue of the Dead is my only completed novel to date. It was written many years ago but I never did anything with it until the last few years. After receiving endless feedback from other wannabe authors, critiques, friends, and even getting advice from the likes of – Brian Keene & David Moody – I decided to self-publish it, and I have a plan to develop it into a possible trilogy. I now have a producer in America looking at doing a possible TV series/movie version of my zombie story, so that could be a great start to my writing career.
My second novel, which is nearing the end of its first draft, is based on the old saying – Night, night, sleep tight & don’t let the BEDBUGS bite – It’s based in the year 2050, and is a sci-fi style, alien bug story. In 1977, one night of murders left the small town of Lemonsville in a state of shock. The crime was never solved, but in the year 2050 the same type of murders are happening again. The chief of police is the grandson of a witness from the original night of horror, and he has to open up the mind of his aging relative to hopefully solve the crime before more deaths arrive.
I don’t want to say too much about this story because I’m on the lookout for a publisher to help me kick-start my writing career. Maybe then I can concentrate on just writing, instead of trying to promote/advertise my work on my own.
My writing style may be different to other writers, as I tend to write like I’m inside my novel and it reads a bit like a movie. The feedback I’ve received from readers of my zombie novel have all been the same, they felt like they were inside my story when they read it and my story was one of the best described action horrors that they’d ever read. A review on Barnes & Noble website says the same thing. I suppose my aim is for readers to vision what I saw when I wrote my story. If I can achieve this then I am happy.

M.D. MORGUE OF THE DEAD

Picture
WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF THE TOWN YOU LIVED IN WAS INVADED BY FLESH EATING ZOMBIES?
WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF A LOVED ONE TURNED OUT TO BE ONE OF THEM?

What started off as an experimental drug used to improve the food grown on a local farm, was now the reason behind why the dead were rising up and feasting on the living. The small town of Clifton Falls had been caught up in a gruesome battle between good and evil as the recently deceased stalked their prey. In the space of a few days, the local police force had to battle the strange beings in the hospital, the cemetery, the forest, and finally ending up at the Holiday Village. Before anyone could work out what was happening, humans were falling down and being devoured by the hungry, brain eating creatures.

Could the local chief find a way of eliminating the un-dead before the virus spread into the CITY and BEYOND?..........
